img/bv Hi there, I don't know what you are referring to with the odometer, it work's perfectly as it should. One click per revolution, and you can't really play around with moving it or it no longer spins the axle of the odometer. The saddle is the original as it should be like on all 3 of my V-301 Sputniks.  img/wd

Again I decided to add a rear light because of notorious previous drilling of the fender. Spoke reflectors were added just to comply with local road rules but I romeved them since. img/ag

My next showcase is my latest V-301 in the classic green colour from 1975. I had swapped it for my yellow Austrian folding bike that a friend gave me so this one was technically free. Most of the missing parts I already had from leftover projects such as the handlebars and light and generator. This crocodile was relatively in original shape when it got to me so disassembling and cleaning it was first, then adding the missing parts. Couple of years back I managed to find 3 chain guards for the V-301 model, in original wrapping paper.
Obviously this bike too is restored to original condition, I have the original inner tubesbut they are not installed at the moment.

Let's have a look at some of my single speed machines. Here's my only women's bike on my current collection. Nothing to unusual or rare. ПВЗ 21-В from 1975, note the frame tubes aren't parallel to each other like on earlier 21-Vs, it was manufactured like this for only a couple of years before it got a new designation number. This was probably the most exported Soviet bicycle to Hungary, some time ago I found export numbers of various bikes so of I remember correctly about 25-30 000 of these were exported here over a span of maybe 15 years. This model is more common than domestic models of that time img/ag

As you can see almost complete condition. Naturally taken apart and cleaned and polished every part separately. The pedals had busted the threads in the cranks, so cranks and pedals had been replaced.

And it's male equivalent if you would like to put it like that: ПВЗ 10-В. Again maybe not the rarest model, but a nice colour nonetheless, as far as I know this is the only one I have seen around here in this (my favourite) colour.

As for what condition it was in when I bought it...well mostly all done img/rolleyes so I didn't actually do much work. Light and generator, the rear reflector, a bell, pump and pump brackets and a tool bag was added, nothing else was missing, oh and of course tools and tyre repair kit. But these were all parts I had lying around in the garage so twas glad I had something to install them on. img/ag

You might be wondering with all these pieces in collection what is my daily. Well of course my daily rider is exactly like any other one of my two wheelers. I ride in stye img/ap . As a teen my daily was the red Спутник, with it's four speeds it was enough for me to go to school and go on longer bike rides but of course in the long run a Спутник or Турист for everyday use is a bit silly and obviously not the most comfortable for city and country riding. Along the years I had many bikes for the purpose of riding up and down in the rain, mud snow and dust, whatever job needed to be done it was done on bikes I didn't mind getting dirty and "torturing". So let me show you my current daily:

As you can see this ПВЗ 10-В from 1970 seemed like a good fit for everyday use. A bit beat up, missing parts that I can easily replace from my spare parts box. Not a rare model, nothing they would steal. Strong, simple and reliable.

My original idea was to just slap on any saddle, add a front brake and just use it, but I couldn't resist. I had almost every part to make it complete to my desire. All I needed to search for was a rear rim, since I had a PVZ hub at hand and one of my friends gave me a chain guard, originally green so I painted it black and tried to match the existing patina to the rest of the bike. Since then it has been riding for almost 2 years now without any problems. About 400kms...I don't know because one odometer got jammed and I had to replace it so I don't know the exact mileage.
